Alleenstaande moeder Gloria gaat weer op het vrijers pad, aanvankelijk met enige schroom, totdat ze de charmante Michel ontmoet. Ze voelt zich onmiddellijk tot hem aangetrokken, en weigert onder ogen te zien wat al snel duidelijk wordt: Michel is een oplichter, die eenzame oudere vrouwen zoals zijzelf verleidt en berooft. Gloria gaat hem zelfs bijstaan in zijn werk om nietsvermoedende eenzame harten te veroveren. De twee blijken een perfect team te zijn – tot Gloria's jaloezie steeds meer in de weg begint te staan.
